Dr. Tony Makhlouf is a board certified Urologist. In addition to general urology, he has sub-specialty training in Andrology (male sexual function and fertility).
Dr. Makhlouf received his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his residency in urologic surgery at the University of Virginia and continued with fellowship training in Andrology at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
For the last 3 years he served as head of Andrology at the University of Minnesota and recently relocated to Houston to be closer to family.
He is a member of the American Urologic Association, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, North American Sexual Medicine Society, and the American Society of Andrology where he currently serves as chair of the awards committee.
He has authored or co-authored several publications in the field of urology (see recommended literature). His spare time is mostly spent with his wife and 3 children. In addition, he enjoys writing computer software, hiking, and travel. He speaks conversational Spanish, French and Arabic.
